Cbank inspects Orient Express Bank, issues no orders

MOSCOW, Dec 20 (PRIME) -- Russia’s central bank has been carrying a scheduled inspection at Orient Express Bank since November, and the bank has not received any orders from the regulator yet, a representative of the bank told PRIME late on Tuesday.

Some clients of the bank were concerned with media reports that the central bank is inspecting Orient Express Bank and can make the bank form additional reserves.

“A scheduled inspection by the central bank has been actually going on at Orient Express Bank since November. These inspections have been happening at the bank regularly since the moment of its foundation. The bank has not received any orders from the central bank,” the representative said.

Orient Express Bank was Russia’s 31st largest bank by assets as of November 1.
